Art & Design

Art & Design

Our teaching in Art & Design aims to provide children with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design.

Art & Design is taught as a discrete subject by a specialist teacher. There are six strands of learning in Art & Design

  • Drawing
  • Painting
  • Printing
  • Sculpture
  • Collage
  • Textiles
Children will also learn about great artists, craft people and designers and use their work as an inspiration to develop their own creativity.
Our Art and Design Scheme of Work has been published by Scholastic as 100 Art and Design Lessons Planning Guide.
