Safeguarding

At Kilburn Park School, everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding children.

  • All school staff have a responsibility to provide a safe environment in which children can learn.
  • All school staff have a responsibility to identify children who may be in need of extra help or who are suffering, or are likely to suffer, significant harm.
  • All school staff then have a responsibility to take appropriate action, working with other services as needed to safeguard and protect children in their care

All staff apply safeguarding and child welfare policies and procedures following guidance contained in the Silver Book.  This is updated regularly, and is a central part of regular staff training and the induction of new staff. A copy of the current Silver Book can be downloaded below.

At Kilburn Park our Safeguarding team is led by Cherylyn Larking (Assistant Headteacher - Inclusion). She is supported in this role by Re Piddington (Family & Community Officer).
