The Sterling Centre - Additional Resource Provision

The Sterling Centre is a brand new additional resourced provision (ARP) at Kilburn Park School specifically for pupils with Autism.  Our goal is to create an educational experience that works for autistic children and their families.  We aim to support pupils to overcome the barriers associated with autism so that they can develop their social & communication skills and achieve academically to their full potential.  The Sterling Centre is part of Kilburn Park School and is covered by the school’s Mission Statement and Goals.

Admissions to The Sterling Centre:

Admission criteria:

  • Pupils need to be able to access the mainstream curriculum with reasonable modifications and adaptations.
  • Pupils need to be able to access the mainstream school at least 10 % of the time.

The SEND team will liaise with SENAS, parents and current settings regarding admissions to The Sterling Centre. During the consultation period pupils and parents will be invited to come and visit the school to allow the team to gain a better understanding of your child’s needs and their suitability to the centre.

Please note applications for the Sterling Centre are via Brent Council's Special Educational Needs Assessment Service NOT via Brent School Admissions.
